The Cobb Group announced today the launch of Inside Performa, a monthly newsletter and website dedicated to maximizing productivity, learning and fun for users of Apple Macintosh Performa computers.

The website, at , went live August 2. The 16-page, full-color, monthly publication will be available in September.

The Inside Peforma website will include updates and product reviews for the software that comes bundled with the Performa, hardware product reviews and links, a "Getting Started" page for new users, links to other sites related to Macintosh on such subjects as home finance, education and family entertainment, and "Talkback" -- an area offering threaded messaging for Performa users.

The newsletter will contain techniques, fresh ideas, shortcuts and practical solutions to computing questions through in-depth articles covering complex procedures as well as quick tips for immediate use. The topics will be illustrated with screen shots and explained in clear, step-by-step, easy-to-follow fashion.

Among the articles scheduled for the initial issues of Inside Performa are organizing and managing your Internet e-mail, creating return address labels, getting a handle on finances using Quicken, using ClarisWorks, to make school projects come alive and saving time on America OnLine. Regular features include frequently asked questions about the Macintosh Performa, a technical glossary and Quick Tips.
