FirstFloor today announced that Kevin McDonald, formerly vice president of sales and marketing for Pinnacle Systems, Inc., has joined FirstFloor as senior vice president.
At Pinnacle Systems, Kevin headed up a team that doubled company revenues from $22 to $44 million in fiscal year 1996. McDonald was successful at building partnerships, establishing brand awareness, and helping Pinnacle become the standard for desktop digital video effects.
"As the demand increases for real-time information, whether it be via the Internet or corporate intranets, users need productive solutions to stay up-to-date, regardless of the information resource," said Kevin McDonald. "FirstFloor provides unique solutions-Smart Bookmarks and recently announced InfoPilot, that let corporate users manage these dynamic resources."
McDonald's 18 years in software, hardware, and telecommunications services were also spent at Apple Computer and GE. At Apple, McDonald held a number of senior management positions including brand manager for the Macintosh Performa. The Performa brand attained $1 billion in retail sales in its first three years. His tenure at GE included General Electric Information Services where he managed large systems installations for Fortune 500 companies including Lockheed, Disney, TRW, Apple, and Hughes.
