Fwb Software, LLC, manufacturer of the ToolKit family disk management utilities, announced an agreement to provide Motorola Inc., with disk management software for their recently announced StarMax line of Mac OS compatibles.
"Licensing of the Mac OS is vital to the growth of the Macintosh market," said Mike Micheletti, FWB's Software Product Manager," and with Motorola choosing FWB's disk management tools, we're five for five. Every company that's announced or shipped Mac OS compatible hardware bundles it with FWB software. With Motorola, we look forward to extending even further our leadership position in the Macintosh disk management category."
A special bundle agreement, signed by the two companies this month, allows Motorola to ship FWB Software's Hard Disk ToolKit Personal Edition and CD-ROM ToolKit pre-installed on all their Power Macintosh compatible computers. FWB Software's universal device drivers boast special support for Power Mac "native" mode and the new System 7.5.3 update.
"Full compatibility is the top priority for Mac OS compatible manufacturers," said Micheletti, "and FWB Software's universal device drivers are the manufacturers' first choice for ensuring that compatibility. Every driver has been tested with over 800 different disk mechanisms. We're compatible with both Power Macintoshes and 68k Macintoshes."
