GTE Entertainment Signs Licensing Deal with KidSoft

 

GTE Entertainment , and KidSoft, the trusted leader for kids' software, announced an agreement that will allow KidSoft to license and distribute three of GTE's highly acclaimed titles.

The agreement includes "TFX Tactical Fighter Experiment," a top-notch flight simulator featuring USAF flight spec models and five "real world" geopolitical scenarios; the Codie award-nominated "3-D Table Sports" with network capabilities that allow up to 16 players to play "SlamHockey," "Foosball" and "Power Hoops"; and the award-winning "FX Fighter," the first game to bring 3-D fighting action to the PC.

"What a great opportunity to be working with such a strong distribution partner," said Jason Salecki, OEM/licensing sales manager for GTE Entertainment. "With a retail presence in more than 25,000 stores nationwide, KidSoft will help to expand our presence in new segments of the market."

Beginning in October 1996, KidSoft will distribute GTE Entertainment's titles via rack programs in outlets such as Toys R Us, Egghead and other locations. Under the KidSoft label, these titles will sell at a suggested retail price of $12.99.
