PaceWorks, Inc., developers of Dancer, the much-anticipated animation authoring software for the Internet and multimedia, today announced its Step `N Motion animation contest for Dancer beta users. Dancer can be downloaded now from PaceWorks' Web site. PaceWorks invites users to submit their best animations in either of two categories: commercial or non-commercial. The first prize in each category will be a fully configured PowerMac 9500 with monitor, keyboard and mouse. Co-sponsors include Apple Computer and other leading technology companies.

Judging will be performed by a panel of industry professionals. In addition, after December 1, all valid entries will be viewable from PaceWorks' Web site, where visitors can evaluate entries based on impact, creativity, artistic value, overall animation quality and practical applicability (at Web or CD-ROM data rates). Winning animations will be announced at Macworld EXPO San Francisco, in January 1997.
