MacUser selected XANTE's Accel-a-Writer 8300, high resolution laser printer, as a 1996 Editors' Choice Award Finalist for Best New Monochrome Printer.

The "Eddy" Award recognizes the best Macintosh hardware and software products released throughout the year. Finalist products were selected based on their technological innovation, quality, performance, user friendliness, and value to Macintosh users.

The Accel-a-Writer 8300 includes 600 x 600 dpi, upgradable to 1200 x 1200 dpi, Adobe PostScript Level 2, and oversized printing up to 12" x 25". It also features X-ACT (XANTE's Accurate Calibration Technology), which allows the user to calibrate the printer to output precise horizontal and vertical dimensions of page images ensuring total output accuracy every time. The Accel-a-Writer 8300 allows users simultaneous printing from Macintosh and PC/compatibles as well as Automatic Emulation Switching, Halftone Calibration Technology, and much more. The Accel-a-Writer 8300 is available for $2,495.
